West Creek, located within Cuyahoga County, Ohio is a tributary of the Cuyahoga River, and ultimately, Lake Erie. Because most of its drainage area is residential, the creek can be negatively affected by stormwater runoff and habitat alterations among other things. Recent restoration projects within the West Creek watershed, coordinated by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) and West Creek Conservancy with funding by the Ohio EPA Water Resource Restoration Sponsor Program, have been completed to help address some of those issues.
NEORSD has conducted water chemistry sampling, habitat assessments, and fish and benthic macroinvertebrate community surveys on West Creek to determine the effectiveness of the stream restoration projects.  Initial habitat and macroinvertebrate evaluations were conducted in 2006.  Studies that also included fish surveys and water chemistry sampling were conducted in 2007 and 2008 prior to completion of the restoration and in 2013 after restoration.  In 2010, a study was also completed in the West Creek Reservation to determine impacts from the old Parma Landfill.
